Color Change
|
| One of the things that is hard to do as a night fisherman is get stuck in a rut of the same ol color. One of the things I try to do is be open minded about changing colors with the moon. My normal night pattern has always been dark baits on a dark night and lighter baits on light night. It doesn't take a whole lot of color change to make a difference. The last couple trips has been a little harder to get the bite started, you can ask my clients about how difficult it can be to get the bite on. You don't have to make a drastic change but one thing I have noticed since things are getting into the ol hot weather patterns are subtle changes such as going from black and green pumpkin trailers to subtle changes like going from black to an electric blue, another color choice is olive and orange jig with a watermelon trailer. The point of my blog here is to let you be real open minded and play around with color change. It is always become a factor duirng August when the water gets hot, you have to admit we have had a strange fish bite this year compared to previous summer seasons. Good luck with your fishing and just keep casting. Thanks for reading my blog. |
